Mission Statement: The McDowell County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) is a planning body of concerned community members whose mission is to: support the development and implementation of community based programs that meet the identified needs of all children who are delinquent or are at risk of becoming undisciplined or delinquent.


Meeting Schedule: The McDowell County JCPC meets on the second Thursday of each month. Meetings are open to the public.

The McDowell County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) has studied the risk factors and needs of Juvenile Court involved youth and hereby publishes this Request for Proposals for fiscal year 2009-2010. The JCPC anticipates funds from the Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (DJJDP). There will be a mandatory meeting for interested applicants on Thursday, February 12th at 10 a.m. in the Boardroom of the McDowell County School District Central Office Building located at 334 South Main Street, Marion.
